Who have you talked to so far? Other than the Dirk, Jake, and Jade humans, of course.

A couple of people actually. Homura, Percival, Jude, Yona, Jumin, and Mikleo?

[ he knows he's missing a few names, but whatever. he'll probably run into them again later. ]

That is quite a few people. I have only spoken to a few: a robot who insists he is not a robot, a girl named Dia, and a gem called Cinnabar.

What were your impressions of them?

It varies? Some of them are raging nooksuckers who seem to thoroughly enjoy arguing with me.

[ says karkat, the hypocrite. ]

But they do seem to know information of what's going on and are skeptical of the people in charge to the point where they'll probably be useful to some degree.

[terezias]

It is good that you are making friends.

[With a teasing grin.]

And also that they are at least somewhat critical about the situation. What have you learned so far? I talked to Dirk, but he seemed to be under the impression that no one knew much of anything about Qri.

[alienates]

More or less the same. The most I know about her other than the whole magic explanation crap is that she's sleeping in a goddamn wagon, of all things.

[ which karkat is still not quite sure if he believes, but he has witnessed enough stupidity to also be able to accept that. ]

The wagon apparently sticks to those who touch it as a defense mechanism. No one has tried attacking it from a distance, however. Oddly enough.

[At this, she leans over and pokes him, still smiling.]

Which--at this point I have been told that I should advise you not to try! Not without finding out a great deal more about how Qri's powers work, at least.

Why would I attempt to attack the wagon? Do I really seem like the kind of person who would make such a risky move just because I can?

If it were not for the risk that it might succeed, I would think about talking someone else into doing it.

[ he flips her off in one graceful, well practiced motion of a person who flips people off quite regularly. ]

What about her attendants? Do we have any more actually useful info on them other than they run around, doing the hag's bidding?

[terezias]

[She's going to gracefully ignore that.]

Did you read the letter?

Genette has been with Qri for about a year, and she heals people. Brie has been around for an unspecified amount of time longer, and I do not know what her power is. We could definitely use more information on both.

[alienates]

Especially considering the fact that they are obviously the ones who actually wrote the letter. I mean... hello, do you have any idea how easy it is to grab a word stick and write something out, even if all of it is blatantly false information? Pretty. Fucking. Easy.

[ but if no one else has managed to get juicier details by now, they're all either incompetent or these people are very good at hiding info. ]

Genette said she wrote the letter! I do not know why Brie did not participate. Perhaps she does not like us.

I will ask more pointed questions about the two of them in the future.

Hmmm. Genette fucking would say something like that, wouldn't she?

It is in the letter.

My point is, if they're the ones who are giving us this information, then how can we exactly trust the information since we don't trust them. Keep up with me, Terezi, I'm discussing conspiracy here.

Karkat, why would they bother to lie about who wrote the letter.

[alienates]

No, but they can lie about what's in the letter.

[terezias]

Well, of course they could do that!

It is still our primary source of information about them.

[alienates]

For now. Until we infiltrate them and are able to write our own, better letters.

[terezias]

[There is a pause.]

You want us to become Qri's new handmaids? Is that what you are saying?

[alienates]

I would not have said it like that, no. You're making it sound really goddamn weird and the opposite of something I'd want to do.

[terezias]

Maybe you should not make really goddamn weird suggestions, then!

[She reaches out and pokes him.]

You took it out of context and you goddamn know it.

We should talk to Brie and Genette to find out what they are like, and also discuss them with other people in the coven.
