We can just look it up! They seemed like they ended on pretty good notes, but there's plenty of room for a sequel if other obstacles crop up after everyone is happily married.
I like knowing how their married life is, but at the same time sometimes sequels tarnish the original, especially if the first movie wasn't meant to have a sequel when it was first made.
I think the only way it would tarnish it would be if you don't like the sequel, or if the themes it has are contradictory to the ones that the first movie had. It's the same with books, although if a book has a sequel it's usually because it was planned from the first book.
