I think there were twelve people taken, that is including Geir who is a dragon. As far as I know, Geir and I are the only ones who are not entirely human here.

I'm not sure about the carrier. If there was one involved, it was after... I fell out of one or broke one open. Carriers have a top and a bottom that snap together which is what it looked like, but it didn't have a metal opening.
